Inspire: Breathing and Breath for Singing and the Voice

An on demand course that will help you finally find your best breath for singing.

Have you ever felt confused about how to breath when you sing? You’re not alone.

From professional singers to absolute beginners “What’s wrong with my breath?” or “Why am I bad at breathing?” are two of the most common questions I hear in my studio… and I get it.

Breathing is confusing.

Except, it’s also, dare I say, easy?

I mean, You’re doing it right now.
Oh, and you just did it again.

But, coordinating your breath well in your body… especially for singing, can take a little bit of guidance.

That’s where I come in.

For just $147, I am sharing with you:

  • Nine instructional videos where I will expertly and playfully take you from the anatomy of your breath to breathing for songs. I’ll also help you explore the mysterious and spiritual aspects of what it means to breathe and be inspired!

  • Five practice tracks to help continue to grow your capacity, skill and coordination.

  • Limited E-mail support to help with some of the super tricky questions that may arise as you embark upon your breathing journey.

I know there are a lot of courses on the internet about breathing for singing.

But they aren’t Inspire. I’ve worked with thousands of singers and I’ve seen a lot of those videos. Through that experience I’ve learned the quickest and clearest ways to help you move beyond confusion and into breathing with more freedom and ease while you sing. Oh, and I know how to make the learning process inspiring and fun!

So, are you ready to finally find your best breath for singing… and maybe for living?

Here’s a peek at what each module has in store:

Module no. 1 - Beyond the Confusion

Module no. 2 - What is technique?

What exactly is technique anyway? In module two we answer that question and talk anatomy and physiology. You’ll learn exactly how you breath works in your body and what that means for finding and posture that is supportive of breathing more efficiently, not only for singing, but for a happy, healthy life.

Module no. 3 - Finding Your Breath

In module three we’ll continue to explore what it means to find a balanced breath in your body but exploring the specific movements of your inhale and exhale. We’ll discuss why a nasal inhalation is generally better and we’ll embark upon exercises that will begin to help you find your breath in your body.

Module no. 4 - The Good News

Module four is a pause to explore a fundamental piece that most people misunderstand about the voice. Spoiler alert: “Your breath does not control your voice” and that’s good news.

Module no. 8 - Breath, Voice, Music

Again, we pause for a reframing discussion. Our minds are conditioned to see this work through the lens of a binary, but it turns out, there is no “right” or “wrong” way to breath. Here we’ll discuss how to honor your body and think about your breathing journey as one that leads you toward free expression through making music. The intention of this work is to bring you home to your body as a means of returning home to YOU!
